Basement Babies are an experimental pop band based in Los Angeles.
Equally inspired by Stevie Nicks as they are Phil Spector's contortions, their reverb soaked guitars and overdriven bass are layered with lyrics that evoke the indulgence and disillusionment of the sunset of the American empire. "These songs really breathe," LA Weekly wrote about their standout performance on the 4th of July last year. Currently at work on their Sky City Casino EP with the help of legendary musician James Ferraro, Basement Babies have shared the stage with Puro Instinct, Ramona Gonzales, Julia Holter Speculator, and Matthewdavid.
